AUC
celebrated a record number of residency placements in 2018, with nearly 300 AUC
graduates matching into positions in 38 states and 24 disciplines. Last year,
in 2017, AUC's first-time residency attainment rate was 84.4% for PGY-1

AUC’s
medical education program and facilities are accredited by the Accreditation
Commission on Colleges of Medicine.
Three
Start Dates
AUC
operates under a rolling admissions policy. This means we offer three start
dates—September, January, and May. This gives you the freedom to start medical
school when it's right for you.
Financial
Aid
Students
may be eligible for financial aid via the U.S. Federal Direct Loan Program, and
will have an opportunity to work one-on-one with our student finance office to
review their medical school eligibility and discuss scholarship opportunities.
USMLE
Success
Residency
directors look closely at a medical school student’s performance on USMLE exams
when making a residency decision.
USMLE
Step 1: In 2017, 96 percent of AUC students passed Step 1 of the United States
Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) on the first attempt. AUC students’
five-year cumulative first-time pass rate for the USMLE Step 1 exam is 94
percent.
USMLE
Step 2 CK: In 2017, 86.8 percent of AUC students passed USMLE Step 2 CK on the
first attempt. AUC students' five-year cumulative first-time pass rate for the
USMLE Step 2 CK exam is 87.9%.
USMLE
Step 2 CS: In 2017, 85.1 percent of AUC students passed USMLE Step 2 CS on the
first attempt. AUC students' five-year cumulative first-time pass rate for the
USMLE Step 2 CS exam is 85.1%.

Our
expert faculty hold MD and/or PhD degrees. AUC's instructors were primarily
trained in the United States or United Kingdom.
International
Hospital Affiliations
AUC
students can complete clinical rotations at nearly 20 affiliated teaching
hospitals in the United States and 7 affiliated hospitals in the United
Kingdom. Medical school students interested in additional international
exposure can complete global health electives in the Dominican Republic,
Russia, Uganda, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.
